The hike to the summit craters is one of the most unique and engaging experiences you can enjoy on an active volcano like Etna.
Along our route we will visit the recent lava flows from the various eruptions that took place in 2025.
From there we will head to the summit area and its four active craters, experiencing unique emotions on Europe’s highest volcano.

Hike at 3000 meters
The hike at 3000 meters is one of the most engaging and complete experiences you can enjoy on Mount Etna.
Along our hike we will cross lava flows, a lava-flow cave dating back to the 2002 eruption and old eruptive centers now extinct, from where you can observe real “hot points”, i.e. hot spots. We will admire the majestic panorama of the Valle del Bove, one of the most impressive and breathtaking views you can take in during our hike.

Sunrise or sunset hike
Discover with us some of the best moments of the day to experience on our Volcano.
- Sunrise on Etna
Departure in the early morning hours to reach a panoramic point at about 2200 meters, along the viewpoint of the Valle del Bove.
From here you can watch the sun rise from the sea.
- Sunset on Etna
In the afternoon, we will climb up to about 2600 meters, near Rifugio Sapienza, to admire the sunset on the volcano.
