What Visit Aetna means to me

I’ll start by telling you who I am.
I’m Toni, an Etna Volcanological Guide, duly registered with the Regional Board of Alpine and Volcanological Guides of Sicily. I’m passionate about outdoor sports, like trekking, skiing and running.
I turned my passion into a job.
Excursions on Etna, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, range from the summit area at 3,300 m down to lower altitudes. The latter are suitable for both children and adults.
Etna isn’t the only active volcano where I accompany my guests.
My treks take you to discover another island formed entirely by a volcano, Stromboli. Located in the northern part of Sicily, it’s part of the Aeolian Islands archipelago and a sought-after destination for one-of-a-kind hikes.
This hospitality project was born from the Love I have for my land, Sicily. Living at the foot of a volcano isn’t for everyone; living here is like feeling a deep breath of the earth, an earth that vibrates and that often has put on a show. Sicily gives us a contrast of colors: from the red of lava to the blue of the sea, from the black of now-extinct flows to the white of snow. Not to mention the multitude of colors found in the different seasons, from springtime periods to the autumn shades of foliage. I like to immerse my guests in the culture and history of this land, offering tips to better discover the cities, the beaches, the culinary products, the flavors and the scents.
By sharing these small tips I’d like to help tourists who choose this wonderful island, rich in history and full of natural wonders to discover, immerse themselves as much as possible.
